Therapy for Young Adults
Addressing common issues like anxiety, depression, identity development, and relationship challenges, while offering tools to build self-awareness and resilience.
Adulting is hard, but you don’t have to do it alone.
Seefeldt Psychotherapy is a welcoming space for young adults to feel supported while naviateing the complexities of this pivatol stage — establishing independent living, developing your identity, pursuing higher education, entering the workforce, or creating your social community.
My Approach
Specialized
Having trained and worked in numerous college counseling centers, supporting young adults is at the foundation of my psychotherapy training. I have a unique understanding of balancing academic demands and university life with mental health needs, in addition to the nuances that come with this developmental stage, navigating emerging independence while leaning on others, and identity exploration. All that to say, I’m confident in working with young adults and that I can help you start living the life you want to.
Relatable
In sessions with me, you never have to worry about being judged or criticized. I’m going to show up as my whole, flawed self, and you are welcome and encouraged to do the same.
Ultimately, everything we’ll do together is for your benefit, and I always want you to know that I’m in your corner here. This work may be uncomfortable at times, but I promise to support you through that discomfort and make this process as smooth as possible for you.
Collaborative
As someone who has worked with young adults for a long time (and have been there myself!), I know how complicated it can be to navigate and manage all the moving parts of emerging adulthood.
I’ll lean on your strengths and empower you to use them as you find solid ground. I’ll be your guide, advocate and ally, to help you navigate the ups and downs of adulting, and everything that comes with it.
